[by Johan Bouma]
Title = Which soil data are most effective when contributed to interdisciplinary studies of the dynamic soilwater-atmosphere-plant system in space and time.
effective inter-disciplinarily, working with hydrologists, climatologists, agronomists and ecologists, where our input is soil data in space and time. Emphasis is on the dynamic behavior of soil syst ems. Not empirical data that we provide in classical soil surveys but hard data derived from existing but also new methods (e.g. proximal sensors for one) , including its variability. Here, several of Gerards challenges apply but put in a wider context.
