Geostatistics is one of the key methods of pedometrics. It is now taught quite widely, and luckily, many geostatistics text books are now available, e.g., more recently, Armstrong (1997), Chiles and Delfiner (1997), Christakos (2000), Clark and Harper (2000), Deutsch and Journel (1998), Goovaerts (1997), Isaaks and Srivastava (1990), Lantuéjoul (2002), Olea (1999), Rivoirard (1994), Stein (1999), Wackernagel (1998) and Webster and Oliver (2001). The texts by Goovaerts (1997) and Webster and Oliver (2001) are clearly the most soil oriented (pedometric).
